Hey everyone!

I like to listen to songs in differnt languages and I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions?

Some I have so far are Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukranian, and Welsh. --I'm always up for new songs in those languages though! =]

So, anyone have some good songs/singers I should listen to?

I pretty much like Rock, Rap, Techno-Pop... but anything will work!

Please and Thank You!

Malice Mizer-French?
X-Japan-Japanese
Finntroll-Swedish?
Windir-Norweigan
Burzum-Norweigan
Darkthrone-Norweigan

Those bands are roughly in the order that you might like them. First two you might like, other ones you wont.

Gronibard - I forgot what language it is, but they play naked so they're cool.
Gravuruit - Japanese, I think.
Malice Mizer - Japanese
Arcturus - Norwegian & English
Kampfar - Norwegian
Kvikksolvguttene - Norwegian
Mägo de Oz - Spanish
Megaherz - German

And since you like Finntroll, you should check out Korpiklaani. Though, they're not a different language.

You'll probably hate most of these bands though.

Mana - En El Muelle De San Blas

Listen to Sigur Ros. They're Icelandic, but they sing in a language called Hopelandic that they made up, using the sounds and pronounciations of their native language. It sounds awesome.

Most of the bands listed in this thread SUCK. Always be sure and listen to good music, and one day, you'll grow to be big and strong.

If you like a bit of rai, then check out Cheb Khaled and Rachid Taha.
I think they're both Algerian (they're both certainly from North Africa, just not 100% sure where) and they sing in their native languages.

There's a pop/rock band in Germany called "Juli". Should be interesting for someone that doesn't speak the language. The most popular songs are called "Geile Zeit" and "Warum". Worth a download.

Becuase I like the sound of variety. Besides, I plan to learn many more languages then what I know now, and music is one of the best ways to learn.

Are you that ignorant to only pay attention to the lyrics? Whether you can understand what they say or not definately does not determine if the music is decent or not. You see these scene kids on the street listening to some screaming faggots, you hear Twista rapping so fast you can't understand what he says, you hear these death metal bands. Why don't you ask these people the same question?
