I have to say that I'm getting a little curious as to where everyone gets their music, with the iPOD craze and all. I know a lot of people who only buy music, and have a 20 or so gig iPOD, so I know it must be expensive for them. Personally I have my 20gig iPOD filled half-way with all free music, I could easily fill it the rest of the way, but I have way too much on as is, I keep forgetting i have certain songs because there are so many. I found that an iPOD doubles as a great removable hard-drive too, but anyway...

I use DC++ to get my music and I know that you always hear on the news that people get arrested for stealing music, but when I log on to DC++ and find like 10million users logged on, I don't exactly panic. :)

Well, the music I listen to is generally free to download. The only time I do have to pay for it is when I want to buy Vinyl.

I head on down to the record store and spend all of my hard earned money on CDs.

Paying for MP3s and M4As is absolutely pathetic. Don't fall for record company bullshit, either buy CDs and have something with superior sound quality and artwork, to hold in your hand, or get yer stuff off Limewire...

I either dl it off Limewire, or buy my CD's from Hastings.

Becasue if you use those, they are free and therefore illegal, putting you in the "I have never paid for music" category.

Or you do some limewire and some CD's from a store which then puts you in the "Some legal, some illegal" category,

either way it works. I actually did take a few minutes to plan this poll so that there would not be issues like this, so think before you acuse.

thats why i use frostwire.. a group of people from the lime wire company made it instead to avoid all the bullshit RIAA restrictions limewire had.

Well good for you and buying music. Personally I have an iPod and iTunes and I use DC++ to download music, so on iTunes they offer music for 99cents or I could use my program, not have to setup an account and get it for free. Its kinda like that dave chapelle episode where he visits the internet... The only good use i've found for iTunes is to find new songs and artists, because its so organized, and then once I have the artist and song title I can find it really easily on my DC++ program.

Just for the record... I still don't undrstand bittorrent, it never works:confused:
