mm..pics turn into links o_O

why is it that when i view the forum in guest mode i can see pictures but when i log in they appear as links? o_O

Go to User CP on the top of the page, then on the left click 'Edit Options'.

Scroll down a bit until you see the following:

You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.

Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)

Make sure 'Show Images' is checked.
