I've always thought computers were male.

In the toddler age of computers, a 5.25" floppy disk was required to boot the computer.

Today, computers have matured and all it takes is a hard drive.

A bit of French:
Actually, since 'Ordinateur' starts with a vowel, you'd use L', so it wouldn't really be indicated as masculine or feminine, unless you were saying 'Son ordinateur' (His/Her Computer). But you do get an A+ for rightness.

I wonder if it's the same in Spanish or Italian.
