?? About two bands

Hey, I heard some songs from the bands Lost Prophets and story of the year. If anyone is familiar with them what do you think? Also any songs you could reccomend?

Story of the year isn't bad. Never heard of Lost Prophets.

Check out Seether (the only band I know from South Africa). I'll get their CD one of these days. They have some of the weirdest song titles: 69 Tea, Pig, and Fuck It. I have both these videos on a sampler DVD:

Those bands are ok, but some of them are to up beat for me. Thats why I like AFI it has a dark tone to it. thanks for your input people.

let me rephrase my original saying of emo sucks. the MAJORITY of emo sucks and that especially holds true if you're saying that Mest, Yellow Card, and Thursday are emo, as I've always considered them in the same category as Simple Plan. and don't get me started on Something Corporate.... Give me some bands that aren't like that and can sing something else besides growing pains and girl troubles. If you can do that then i'll reverse my answer. Until then S10000, you go fuck yourself.

whoa..nice...a slightly more intelligent answer...you got your point across that time...way to go. All this classifing music into a certain genre is bulsshit...but thats just the way it is...I agree Mest and Yellow card are bad emo...their songs are created by writers other than members of the band (not always for mest)...but Thursday on the other hand is emo to the fullest...And growing pains, depression, and anythnag that is involved with deep EMOtion is what emo is all about and since it invloves the basic components of punk rifts and scores it is considered EMO PUNK...thats just the way it is my friend.

So, I cant give ya a EMO band that isnt like that.

Sigur Ros and similar music I also enjoy...like I said before...I really do listen to ALL types of music on an everyday basis

Jordan...I dont really understand...do enjoy AFI 2000+ or before, cu theres a big difference and if I know what you like better I should be able to help ya find many other bands you'll enjoy

Thursday is emo to the fullest. I used to like Mest a lot, for the simple reason that their songs were good.


And madmartigan, i hate somthing corporate. I don't know why they got so big, because they suck.

Story of the year is alright. I like one of their songs, but i forget the name. Its not Until the day I die.

But, i could give a half a fuck if you don't like emo. Go listen to your rap or satanic metal shit and fuck off.
