Yea, they're touring right now.
I was wondering for the people who have gone to see them already, how long is Amon Amarth's set? Because 20 dollars for 20 minutes is unappealing...
Talk about the bands, the tour, do Amon Amarth dress up as vikings, and how awesome they are, etc...

i hope Amon Amarth tour the uk soon. i'd like to see children of bodom as well, but i couldnt care less about trivium. i've seen a video of an amon amarth live performance, but they didn't dress up as vikings.

A few people I know flew out from Calgary to Vancouver to catch them play there. They all went for Amon Amarth, and could not get over the fact on how amazing they played. AA is one amazing band, and their set was around half an hour in length. It's too bad they weren't the headliner.

I hope that show comes by here, I missed Amon last time, but that whole bill's pretty good. But is Amon really opening? If they are then they need to trade spots with Trivium. And no, they don't dress like Viking, but sometimes the lead singer keeps it real and busts out the plastic-horned helmet.

I'm going to this show on December 5th in Tampa. I have already seen Trivium and Childnren of Bodom live before. Bodom put on an amazing show, but what I saw was in support of Lamb of God, and was a short set. I'm really excited to see them play longer.

December 12th, in Toronto. I missed the show on Nov. 11, so I hope to be at this one. Still have to get out and buy tickets.

I'm listening to Trivium right now. They kick ass IMO. Plus the guys are young as hell in the band, like 20ish according to my friend. Bodom is tight but after you hear one album you've heard them all (my favorite is FOLLOW THE REAPER). Never heard of Amon Amarth. Most of yall seem to think they are much better than Trivium, but I usually don't like the bands that scream the entire time. I'll still check them out...

Trivium wouldn't be so bad if the vocalist wasn't so damn annoying. Escpecially his 'singing voice' as opposed to his screaming voice.
*shudder*

^ Yeah, I guess it sounds too 'mainstream' for some. I get into it because I like music that has more than one distinct sound.

None of those are anywhere near me. I love all three bands though.

Sorry, but Metallic has a better reputation. After all, he is the metal god.
I heard he has 3 bowls of metal every morning to keep him ready for the day ahead. Without milk!!

I went to highschool with Matt Heafy (the lead vocalist). He's a bad ass guitarist.

I don't have Fate of Norns, so I couldn't recommend it. I've heard most of it, and Viking Themed AA is very well done. This is the only other album I have by them (The Crusher + Versus The World), so I recommended it. I'll pick that one up as well.
