I was just wondering if anyone else here listened to these guys, they are an indy group and each song they sing is like a fantastic story. Their name is taken from the Russian revolutionary The Decemberists, and they have really done some great songs i feel.

Just read a little about about them on their site, or get some of their songs, you'l see a great indy folkish band.

(ignoramuses need not listen)

Hell yeah. I love The Decemberists. I think my vocabulary has expanded 10-fold since I started listening to them.

Im glad someone else likes them, i love how their lyrics are like a story espiscially, like the legionnaires lament, you may as well of read a 300 page novel about it and got the same end result.

I saw them on the 17th of last month.

It was by far one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen. Colin Meloy displayed such emotion when singing all of the songs, and the band/audience interaction was so good.

Easily one of my favourite bands.

Interesting.... I didn't know anyone else knew about them. A friend of mine turned me on to them and I've been sucked in since.
