Sorry if similar threads have been made, but I thought it'd be interesting to discuss bands, like them or not, that sold out. (If threads like this have been done recently, tell me. I'll just delete the thread)
I expect there to be lots of 'Green Day' replies.

I'm not sure if Metallica would be considered a sellout but they sure do suck now.

But metallica wouldnt be classed as a sellout band, they have been around for like fuckin 20 odd years and have had 5 kick arse albums and shit, theyre not sellouts just getting old and doing what old people do, try other shit. They've established that they are a thrash, metal, heavy metal band and deliver some really cool fast fucking tunes they have already proved themselves, just let them be. They've gone through a heap of shit but they have delivered. I say Fucking thankyou METALLICA for

I wouldn't consider people like Britney Spears and Avril sellouts because their music sucked to start with. You can't sellout when your music is bland, radio friendly stuff to begin with. I know Metallica had a lot of good albums, they just aren't what they used to be.

Demon Burger are fucking sellouts. Their music is actually good though, rare exception.

Ozzy.......
As much as it pains me to say it, yeah I kind of agree. I think Sharon had a large part to play though.

5. Any band that makes a follow-up CD that isn't identical to the previous
6. Any band that changes their musical style

i own all of the metallcia cds and i love them all, but didn't metallica start the whole 'illegal downloading' dispute? not that it really matters, people still download and appear to be unaffected. as for my choice for a sellout, i'd have to say...50 cent? i like some of his songs, mostly the beats but you just can't kepp it real selling your own bottled water, it just isn't gangsta like he claims to be
