The title of the thread is "Top 5 best hockey players...Top 5 worst...What are yours?" so I'll assume that we are talking about the top 5 of all time. With that said how can anyone say Lemieux is not one of the best... Gretzky and Lemieux in my opinion (and the Hall of Fames opinion and the record books) are two of the best hockey players and atheletes of all time. No one dominated like those two until them and no one has dominated like those two since them.

As far as Lemieux not wanting to be on Team Canada goes I think he said it is because he isn't feeling well and he also wants Crosby to be considered to take his place since it would be a good experience for him (Crosby and Lemieux are close, I believe Crosby was (is?) living at Lemieux's house).

Crosby vs. Ovechkin is a tough call, Crosby is a far better play maker and sees the ice really well, plays with a lot of finess. Ovechkin is an incredible goal scorer. I'd have to choose Crosby in this one.
