Roger Clemens was not offered arbitration by the Astros.He won't be able to rejoin the astros until may 1st.He can retire or try to get picked up by another team or wait it out until may.For his age I mean come on he made the astros rotation so much better with him in it and his ERA was crazy.When he retires he definitely will be a hall of famer.Hes gotta be one of my favorite pitchers.He claimed to retired after the 2003 season with the yankees then agian in 2004.What should he do..........

clemens to astros in may. he'll play for the USA in the WBC and depending on the spring training for the 'stros and go back there. he is more suited to play 5 months rather than 6. and i don't care what the media in boston says, hes not comming back here to the red sox.

As much as he brought to the astros, i think he should retire now. he would be a good ending bring his hometown team to our first world series

Any Team would benefit from having the Rocket on it, though he has lost a step or two in his hurling he brings a fire to a game like no other. His ability to teach young pitchers should not be over looked nor his work ethic. I think he has another year or two left in him, and I hope he uses those years up in New York wearing pin stripes.

boston would be really cool, but i doubt he goes there. Hell i would say cleveland but even Roger wouldnt be woth 20 million a year for a low budget team like the tribe.....but he is graet, he could probably be a 16 win pitcher up until liek age 50, no doubt

if he comes back next season yankees and red sox will get into a bidding war...

I said, "Retire and go to Cooperstown". Roger, you were good in your prime, now you're just old.

Roger may be getting old, but he's still one hell of a pitcher. Personally, I would love him to go to the D'backs, but since this conversation is based in reality....
It would be kind of cool to see him in a Boston uniform again...that's where he belongs if you ask me. But on the other hand, I would kind of like him to retire so my rookie cards will go up in value.

Not a big baseball fan?

I think he stays with the Astros. His son is in the minors with the Astros, and he'd only have to show up once or twice a week. Everyone wants Roger on their team, but, the Astros are the only team with a legitimate shot.

That wouldn't be the best rotation in MLB, or even in the AL.

RANDY JOHNSON-->SCHILLING

Which one would be better in the AL? Assuming they are all healthy and you replace Clement with Wake, the only team that comes close is the White Sox.
RANDY JOHNSON-->SCHILLING
Randy Johnson with an arrow pointing to Schilling? I don't get it. :confused:
RJ hasn't done shit in the A.L. since he came back. At least Schilling finished 2nd in the Cy Young in 2004. I expect him to be healthy and have 15 wins next year.

A Clemens decision likely won't come until after the World Baseball Classic, so this might take a while.

Did you noticed that Schilling was injured last year, or did you not watch any baseball last year?

Just for your information, this was Schilling's stats in 04 in the AL
21-6 3.26 ERA 203 Strike Outs

Red Sox needs pitching? I guess Schilling-Beckett-Wells-Wakefield-Papelbon is not good enough for the all-mighty Yankees' starting rotation <rolls eyes>

And last time I checked, Manny was still with the Red Sox, and Damon hasn't signed with any MLB team.

It's pointless arguing with him. Believe me, I've tried. But just for a comparison, Schilling had the same type of ankle surgery that Jamal Lewis had, only Schilling's was more serious. I think Beckett is more of an injury risk than Schilling right now though.

I think the sox are good to go for 06... The rotation isn't bad.

manny said he wont go to spring training if he isnt traded.......and if the red sox are planning on going with 84mil/7years then i guess he isnt going back to boston...

the year is 2005 i dont care what schilling did well he was good isnt enough...who cares if he was injuried did he play with a bloody sock one year so hes a wimp...pavano and wright got hit in the head with line drives and they got right back up and still pitched....clement was crying and was ridding a streacher.

manny said he wont go to spring training if he isnt traded Manny knows that if he doesn't show up, he doesn't get the big check, and the bottom line is he wants that money.
and if the red sox are planning on going with 84mil/7years then i guess he isnt going back to boston...
I wasn't able to comprehend what you typed there.

Again, better grammer and punctuations would help me understand what you're trying to say.
pavano and wright got hit in the head with line drives and they got right back up and still pitched....clement was crying and was ridding a streacher.
Clement is such a cry baby for leave the game after getting hit by a ball in the head, only to start a game 8 days later. Spending half of the season in the DL crying about a shoulder problem is sooo much more better <rolls eyes>

The Rocket should return to the New York Yankees and lead them to another World Series.
