Take the guitars, drums, and lyrics from Linkin Park, remove the rap and electronica, add a deep voiced frontman (a la Scott Stapp, Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland), and you have Seether.

They're three guys from South Africa. I bought their first and so far only album, Disclaimer, just a couple days ago. I really like them a lot. And the vocalist, Shaun Morgan, just happens to be Amy Lee's boyfriend. If it wasn't for my interest in Evanescence, I would never have heard of Seether or Lacuna Coil, and they are both really good bands.

**BumP** Well? Any new opinions? They have an extended version of the album coming out next week, which I'm certainly going to get. And I'm lovingthis to death (http://launch.yahoo.com/musicvideos/player/default.asp?videoID=1101431). Their album update is going to have a DVD with this and their 3 other videos on it. That's going to be cool. And unlike 3 months ago, they are getting good radio playtime around here. I'm going to see the band with Evanescence, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin next month, so it's all good. :D

i hate to say it..but i agree with you..theyre not bad. my girlfriend showed me them alittle while ago. theyre kinda like nirvana but alittle heavier and without kurt kobain (which is a god send). not one of my favorite bands..but not one that should be disrespected when there are so many crappier bands out there.
