WAAAAAAAAAYY to early to tell. No team has gotten their team completely assembled, and frankly, we won't know until about March.

C'mon yea wayy too early. Some teams don't even have complete rosters like the Red Sox.

I think whoever signs Damon already has a head start on the compition.

Sure he's good, but not that good.

But he's either going to Boston, the Yankees, or the Dodgers, and he seems to be the final piece in those teams lineups

The Royals have improved with Meintkewiz, Grudzielanek, and Dessesns, so maybe. Nah, they've just improved from a AA team to a AAA team, that's all.

The fact that you had to LOGICALLY eliminate the Royals from serious World Series talks makes me lose all respect for you...:lmao:

You are right, there have been bad teams that made the playoffs before. All they have to go through is the defending WS Champs.

I say the Dodgers, or should I say the LA Red Sox.

As a giants fan I hope they sign Damon to some outrageous contract... last I heard they were offering him 5 years 50 million+... thats far too much for an aging centerfielder with no arm and little power.

You really think the dodgers will win the NL west? So far, they have improved thier 91 loss team by signing Rafeal Furcal and three warm bodies. Or was it 4?

Furcal
Mueller
Drew
Kent
Garciaparra
Lofton
Werth/Cruz
Navarro/Alomar

hmmm looks like a decent lineup.
decent chance to win that division.

Ill compare the two lineups by position on offense and defense. (I dont need to do this for thier starting rotations, because the giants pitching flat out destroys the dodgers rotation.)

1B: LA Nomar> SF Niekro. Nomar will get hurt within a month, but Niekro is still unproven. I honestly have no idea what he will do next year.

2B LA Kent> SF Durham both old and injury prone, both pretty decent defenders. Kents got more power.

SS LA Furcal> SF Vizquel. Argueably the two best fielding shortstops in the league, but Furcal has the edge on offense. Furcal is the best player on the dodgers by far. Blazing speed, GG calibur defense, some pop, but hes a drunk.

3B SF Feliz/Alfonzo> LA Mueller. Mueller is vastly over rated.

LF Bonds>>>>> Ledee. Bonds is, simply put, the best player in the last 50 years. Stats prove that. Dont give me this "hes comin off roids" BS, because he still produced quite well for a 42 year old who didnt go through spring traning. 5 HR in 14 games, 600+ SLG%, 'nuff said.

CF Winn> Lofton. A pretty big advantage here, Winn has more speed, more power, hes just as good defensively, and he hits for a better average.

RF Alou> Drew. Drew is coming off a horrible wrist injury, in addition to a shoulder injury if im not mistaken. Alou is pretty old though.

C Matheny> Navvaro. Navvaro is a much better hitter but Matheny is the best fielding catcher in all of baseball. He saves alot of runs.

If Bonds stays healthy then the giants will have the better offense by far.

Took a while to type that...
