I have a friend who said they threw the game to get the stress of a perfect season off their chest, so they would have an easy road to the Superbowl.

The Queens got a dose of reality when they played a real team. Remember, they've only won one game against a winning team.
The real good news -- everyone can shut up about a perfect season now.

Incorrect, Manning was taking hit after hit, i counted 11 strong hits to the chest/head.
Trust me when i say they wouldn't have risked injuring their golden boy for a thrown game.
On top of that the most obvious reason why your friend is wrong, why would they throw the game in that manner? With all of their stars out there taking big hits? (linemen getting injured, reggie wayne hurting his wrist, peyton getting sacked/hit)
They would of just sit them out and let the back-ups give it a go.
The cherry on top and the number one way you could tell the Colts played their hearts out? Manning crying on the sidelines. Pwned.
Even if we don't make it to the playoffs, i'm happy with beating both the Manning brothers. I think it's funny how Eli didn't want to come here, so he pouted on draft day and the Giants gave us last years first round high pick, which in turn gave us Shawne Merriman... which in turn... yeah, knocked his brother the fuck out. :boink:

Good news, Dolphins can still make it to the play-offs. We just need every 8-6,and every 9-5 team to lose their last 2 games. Then we have to beat the Titans (Which is possible) After all that happens we have to beat New England in Foxboro. Why am I saying this. We are fucked.
Well I am glad the Colts lost. Dolphins are still the only team with a perfect season. Yeah!

Dolphins are still the only team with a perfect season. Yeah!
Wrong.
The following teams have had a perfect season:
1929 Packers
1934 Bears
1942 Bears
1972 Dolphins
The three teams before the Dolphins are often disgraced by not being given credit, so please give credit where credit is due.

True, the 1929 Packers team went without a loss, but they also finished in a 0-0 tie with the Frankford Yellowjackets (Nov. 28). Also, the Packers played only 13 games that season, compared to when Miami went 14-0 in 1972. Also at the end of the 1929 season, the Packers lost a non-league (non-counting) contest to the Memphis Tigers, 16-6 (Dec. 15).
The Giants dominated teh 1934 bears in the Title game so they don't count.
In 1942, the Bears went 11-0 in the season, then the Redskins clipped the Bears 14-6 in the 1942 championship game. So they don't count either
Then the dolphins did it. But opposed to the other 3 teams you mentioned, the 1972 dolphins went truly undefeated in the superbowl era.
The years before the superbowl as a whole, are usually disgraced and aren't given credit. The Packers won 3 straight NFL title games 2 times, yet they don't get credit and they said earlier this year that the Patriots were trying to be the only team to win 3 straight superbowls. See, it's the superbowl era factor again here.
And even then, the Dolphins were the only team to actually have a perfect season. The two bears teams lost their two title games, and the packers had a tie.

I see what you're saying now, just thought I'd mention those other three teams. :p

Year after year... SOME team has to go for the perfect season mark to finally shut people up about 'em.

I gaurantee you if that dolphins team wouldnt be in the top 25 of college football teams today..
In the NFL they would go 0-16.
But on a side note... How did the dolphins start doing so well after we (Browns) shut you out and you guys threw for like 4 yards passing???
7-7, not too shabby.
