Hey, I just got a Peavey delta Blues amp for Christmas, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with settings, as far as the pre and post gain and the eq. I want to get a light, bluesy distortion/overdrive but still be able to turn my guitar volume(guitar volume, not amp volume) to ten or so and it not be too loud, since I also live in a home with parents. The Strokes distortion/overdrive is almso twhat 'm going for. If you can't do that, at least try and get the amp settings to the light, bluesy distortion...etc.Thanks! You'll be doing the world a service. why? idk Anyway, please.

Blues... hmm... How many watts is it? You will need to fine tune it yourself to get it perfect, the size of the room you're playing in and the material that it is made out of, believe it or not, comes into play. I play in a small room and Kustom amps are famous for lacking in distortion, so for me I turn that all the way up, put the clean to around.. 1/4.
Bass - 10
Mid - 3
Treble - 8/9
I can get a pretty good sound for whatever I am playing, mostly Van Halen.

It all depends on your amp and guitar. I have a Gibson Les Paul, a Crate XT120R, and a Line 6 PODxt preamp. I can get a tone similar to the one in the intro of Last Night by setting the preamp to drive=5, bass=0, middle=0, tremble=10, and presence=10, the amp to all 3's, and using only the bridge pickup.

The amp is a Peavey Delta Blues 115 and it's a 30 watt amp. It has one 15'' speaker and for it's "dirty" channel(I don't call it that) only Pre, Post, Bass, Middle, and Treble. I....don't know what presence is nor drive. The knobs go to 12. So far, I've just been setting the post/pre to 2.5 the Bass to 9. The Middle to 5. The Trebel to 6. I use a cheap Washburn electric. I could still use some more help. But so far thank you.
