For me, handsdown Piece of Mind or Powerslave. I know Number of the Beast is their big breakthrough, but imo it just doesn't hold up to these two.

^Yet your user title is The Number Of The Beast?
My favorites would have to be Iron maiden, Killers, Virtual X1, And The X factor.

For musicality, The X-Factor.
For everything else, Powerslave.

The X-Factor. Simply because "Sign Of The Cross" is the greatest Maiden song ever conceived.

Killers or Powerslave, but they're all good until No Prayer For The Dying.
Bring You Daughter To The Slaughter = BAD.
Are they making a new album this year?

killers is nowhere near as good as the 1st album. altho it defined a new sound, there is only a handful of good songs with fillers.
incidentally, no prayer sucks but still owns sux factor and virtual 11

Equally joint between Powerslave and Number of the Beast. I like Piece of Mind a lot too. And the self titled and Killers are both great too. Arghhh dammit, Iron Maiden is always great.

^I prefer Rock in Rio, even though Bruce's vocals are a bit dodgy in places.

Powerslave, I find it has the best sound to it.

Somewhere in Time is my favourite, because the solos are just sweet. To me, the solo on Stranger in a Strange Land is a masterpiece, its just beautiful. I really like Seventh Son as well.

It's really hard to say for me, I love all of their studio albums equally. I guess I'll just go with Piece of Mind, because that was the first Iron Maiden album I ever listened to.
