it tells you right then and there that something fishy is going on. so I put in the headphone jack turned the volume down (this was at 5 am and I had sleepers in the house) and I heard the forward then it started to go backward I moved my headphones away from my ears and then wham SCREAMER!!!

I could have also been wrong my other guess was that someone was just having sex in the background.

Yeah I just went to ebaumsworld and saw that description of a subliminal message, first thing that popped into my mind was SCREAMER (which I hate with all my heart and soul) so I went to the Forum to find out people's comments and I was right. So I managed to keep my fresh pair of underwear. And I bet other people (other SMART people) did the same thing I did.

It's not the fact that it's "scary" or anything, it's just that you don't expect it... if you dont expect something at a certain point it will make you jump.

This one was the least obvious of any i've seen, and was the first one to get me. Pretty much because there hasn't to my knowledge been a subliminal message thing thats been a screamer before on Ebaums.. and I know about four i've seen that weren't. Wasn't so obvious because all I really read was "subliminal message" and "listen closely" in hard to notice text. Not the usual "LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTO AND TURN UP YOUR VOLUME!" 5-4-3-2-1 "BOO!" style screamers. The only hint was the intake of breath before the scream and noticing about 2 seconds before it happened.. "Hey, I don't think this is an actual subliminal message".. not that I ever tied the strings together in time. :ahhh: :wah:
