I can't figure out my computer lately, I can't even fucking run CS:S with it without it lagging all to hell, when I first built it I could run CS:S on high settings, now it barely runs on low.

2.8E P4 1MB L2
512MB OCZ Performance PC3200
FX5700 ULTRA AGP8x
MSI Neo mobo
80gb 7200 HD
TT Silent 480W PSU

I mean I tried 3DMark05, I scored 800, 800!!WTF? Although I understand 05 is pretty graphically intense and my computer isn't anywhere near top of the line I should score more then fucking 800, on 2001SE I scored 1300, almost brought tears to my eyes.

I doubt reformatting would fix the problem, idk, jesus.

Anyone have an idea? I know just upgrading ram won't do me much of anything at this point, maybe i'll get 810 instead of 800 with 1gb ram.

Think something could be shot and I don't realize it?

You don't know Jesus? Would you like me to introduce you to him?

I'd say, reformate and upgrade RAM. It will do much.

To run games like CS:S you need about 1GB of ram,and you might need to upgrade your graphic card if you want ->medium settings, other than that don't base your pc around 3dmark just the fps you get in games ;)

If it ran well before but runs like crap now, then something was probably installed in between then and now. Did you install that runs in the background since the original CS:S install?

Virus checkers running in the background can sometimes slow down your computer more than a real virus will.
