Seattle grunge rock just has to be some of the best music ever from some of the best bands ever. Bands like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Sound Garden. I think the songs from that era will be the next generation of "classic rock" that will be played on the radio for years to come.

So this thread is for those bands, so post your favorite Seattle bands and their songs.

Nirvana is my favorite, no question...my favorite band, period. Don't have a Nirvana song I don't like, but I love ones like Lithium, Polly, All Apologies, Dumb, among others.

Also, "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle" is very underrated.

I can listen to Pearl Jam in moderation, sometimes Vedder can get annoying. Good for the most part, though. Yellow Ledbetter is probably my favorite.

by far my favorite genre...usaully id have a lot to say on the topic...but right now...i just cant think of anything...Just before the time of grunge rock...music fuckn sucked...it sucked...now there were exeptions...like Guns 'n Roses, Michael Jackson, and couple up beat late 80's pop songs that i enjoyed...but in general it sucked...come on now...I was forced to listen to shit like...Duran Duran and Poison...Everyone was bored of the same old "techno beats" and girly lookn men screaming about metaphors for pussy...Then crashed the wave of Seatle Rock...it blew me away...it was like those guys just didnt give a fuck about the money or the attitude...they just wanted to be fucked up and play...i wanna say more and will later...but i gotta get some food

Another band nobody has heard of is Screaming Trees. They typically don't get mentioned when clumped in with other grunge bands because they are so underrated.

2. Alice in Chains
3. Soundgarden
4. Pearl Jam
5. Nirvana - I hate Cobain, I really do. But novoselic is alright and I like dave grohl, nirvana's music is mildly tolerable.
