View Full Version : Quicktime Crackle. Help!

Whenever I play Quicktime movies on the internet, the audio is all crackelly and echoey. Help please.

I am theorizing that it's either
1) Speed of Stream of Speed of your connection
2) Quality of the video/audio itself
3) You have an out of date version of quicktime.

Try downloading the videos and playing them off your harddrive, if that reduces the problem, you are most likely in the number 1 category.

If it doesn't you're most likely in the number 2 category.

Make you upgrade quicktime ASAP.

And stay away from midget porn...:D

EDIT:
It could also be a setting in quicktime involving using less processor or more processor to improve performance. I'd definately look into that as a possibility. I'm sure quicktime has a whole host of settings desgined to make your video playback worse.

I don't know what I did, but I think you helped. I just clicked some box called Safe Mode (waveout only)
