"Crunk" is just an off-shoot of the “Dirty South” sound of the mid 90's, pioneered by Dungeon Family. If anything it's a fad, much like the “G-Funk” movement of the early 90's.

And he's Lil Jon. By calling him "Little John", you're implying a great number of things that aren’t exactly supporting his character.
