First of all, as someone else mentioned the French did help us out a lot in the revolution, and without their help we most certainly would have been occupied once again by the British. Secondly, you know that lady who waits on Ellis Island, a symbol for freedom and America and all you hold dear? Yeah, she's French too. And by the way, you all seem to be downgrading them as being cowardly, and afraid to do what is popular. Its not the fact that the French are anti-war that angers many Americans. Many other countries are and know one bitches about them that much. Its the fact that France actively tried to stop the US/UK resolution. Saying they would veto any US/UK resolution no matter the circumstaces is just anti-americanism. I hate the French, I do. I've been to Paris, adn even attempted to speak their language to them, lathough admittedly a very broken version of it. All I encountered were snide under-breath remarks adn horrible service.

However, I respest the Sovereignty of the French people and their nation, and the fact that they are a world power with the ability to veto in the UN security council.

I think France lost all credibility when they stated that they would veto any US/UK resolution authorizing war regardless of the circumstances (although I probably would've agreed). At that point, they weren't acting as peace-keepers, htey were acting like arrogant French bastards.

All of this boycott nonsense is just that: nonsense. 'Liberty fucking fries'?!?!? come off it, what in the hell is that going to get you? NOTHING. French Fries are fucking good.
