It's plain as day he gets hit with a flurorescent light bulb. I really don't understand how the person who posted it didn't realize it.

The puff of smoke = the powder in the tube, the cuts in two parallel lines are from the glass at the top and bottom of the tube (the glass at the sides wouldn't have any sharp edges facing his skin, and therefore wouldn't cut).

That said, the powder in all fluorescent tubes contains mercury, as a medium for the first arc to ignite through the tube. Not only was this stunt stupid and dangerous, it's possible he may get mercury poisoning as well. Though this is doubtful, as we're talking very small quantities, but still.

This is the dumbest stunt I've ever seen.

Which if course is why I laughed my freaking head off!!

Edit: Sorry, after doing some googling, it seems I'm wrong. The powder coating is phosphor, but the gas inside the tube is a mixture of argon gas and mercury vapor. So my mercury poisoning idea has been debunked.

The phosphors in a fluorescent tube contain some mercury, but not a whole lot. The philips alto or other eco bulbs, have added some special chemical agents to the phospher reduce the mercury in the tubs.Yes argon is a product in lots of light bulbs, but some can also have Krypton gas to lengthen their lifespan.
