Sorry! Sorry to the baumans. Sorry to the members. And mostly, sorry to the administrator that wasted 20 minutes removing/editing my posts.
I now realize, after doing the research after my agitated scene the other night, that my knowledge of copyrights was nonexistent, and what existed was flawed. What most of you said is true.
Copywritten content is not going to be intentionally posted, as if to piss others off or for their own monetary benefit. ebaumsworld is a CONTENT HOSTER. Accusations of watermarks being added to content are pointless, because TV stations do this *all the time*, and TV stations are merely content hosters as well. The only difference is that one is online, and the other isn't.
Lots of the content ebaumsworld posts is public domain, or not copywritten by the author's own mistake or even INTENTION. Some of it isn't, and whatever is copywritten would be removed by the baumans, provided the necessary proof, which is all the baumans can really ask of the person. ebaumsworld is a new baby and new things are always bound to be criticised. Criticism will make the site better (and stronger) in the long run.
Listen up:
I notice that mistakes do occur, and ebaumsworld may accidentally post content that does have copyrights. And that is only human. All I ask now is that they be sure to carefully screen content for copyrights before it is posted, and/or give credit where it is due. Despite all of the complaints that have been had before, I'd bet there are already provisions to correct this. This is an important fact that others who feel the same way as me need to realize, including WhatVentureto--just give the maturing site some time!
ebaumsworld is still a relatively young site, and it can only get better (getting its own TV show is a major step I think). Hell, if something I created was posted on ebaumsworld, that alone would be flattering.
If you are still in doubt, both their content and policies are bound to improve. Just give it time and things will sort themselves out!
I realize it's hypocritical for me to still even be here, but thank you for listening, and once again my humble apologies for earlier--I just didn't know better, but you've now earned another supporter.
I hope to be a regular forum member from now on, if you can accept me for my mistakes as a human being. Thank you.
