this movie was like bad sex on the first date...
i went to go see it saturday expecting to see a horror equal to the ring, but i was wrong. the first half of the movie was great, i was actually on the edge of my seat. but as it dragged on, it got cornier and far less believable. i'm not going to spoil the movie for anyone, but if you want to enjoy the flick and leave the theater feeling semi-spooked...walk out when you see the red head guy change to evil. the rest is just a bunch of crap they used to fill in time...

ahhhhhhhhh.....chris, I'm still reading the book!!!!!!!! but, we've been over this time and again...Stephen King's books never make it intact to the big screen...it would require lots and lots of movie time to make it half way as good as how he envisions it on paper.
but, I'm still gonna at least rent the bitch :)

it's worth renting on a weeknight, but not worth wasting a weekend night...

Sometimes I have a problem with how he ends stuff... it sems like an anticlimax. Maybe that is because he writes such great shit to start with that it is hard to end appropriatly...... dunno.

I get a good laugh at Stephen King movies. All of them are so damn corny, especially the made for tv ones. Although, The Green Mile and The Shining (the Stanley Kubrick one of course) were both done nicely.

MrMix, u realized u said Saddam was ur hero..... but forget that.
I agree, stephen king books rarley make it to movie good, UNLESS he completly does the movie so pretty much the only resemblance to the books are the names. I am a HUGE Stepehn King fan. ive read at least 15 of his books (which is good since im 14 and started when i was 10) and am right now on the Dark Tower serise (just finished 2nd one). I have to disagree w/ the fact that his made for tv movies are bad. i think the remake of the shining was WAY better than the original. if u read the book, u may know why. the movie uses scenes that were NEVER mentioned in the book. like Dick dieing, the big maze, and Jack killing himslef while trying to killing Danny. The remake was actually word-for-word from the book.
As for dreamcatcher, i would like to see it, but being 14 and spending all my money on the dark tower serise and his new one From a Buick 8, i have no money. (except for like 50 bucks which i need for drivers traning.) So i tried to download it on Kaza, but the movie freezes every few minutes and wont start up, so i may have to wait to find a working copy or to rent it. I may get lucky and my dad may take me to see it since he semi-likes stephen king too, but doubt it.

Stephen King's greatest ending is in The Running Man. The main character has his intestines spilling out, and he kills everyone in this plane then pilots it into the bad dude's building, and the bad guy sees him and hes giving him the middle finger. How classic!!!! (oh and this book was made before Sep. 11)

This movie is one of stephen king's worst yet. but i give it a "E" for effort

Finally finished the book and it was way better than the movie, but that is no surprise. Of course the ending in the movie was NOTHING like the book. I really hate when they do that. Just leave the story line the way it is. Oh well, my advice to yall is read it,but I'm sure most of you won't. .........oh goddie, time to go home. Later tators..................:)

ok, last time…
you aren't really worth the arguement, but i'm bored so i'll state it again..." it's not like i value your opinion "
in the above statement do you see me say ANYTHING about how you feel about the movie? NO…now don't get me wrong, I really don't give a shit what you think about the movie either, but my statement was directed about your opinion toward ME, quoted from the post above it. who's got something up there ass now?, is my question...
try not to worry so much, it's really not that big of a deal to me because "it's not like I value your opinion anyway

Man, you're stupid who wasted whose time, blah (such a fitting name)...chris gets a kick out of pointing out others stupidity (actually, I like it too; just choose not to point out the blatantly retarded)...so, he's more than happy to show you and everyone else how unremarkably stupid you are...but, you continued to post sophomoric replies further demonstrating your intellectual deficiencies...so really, who wasted their time?
