Well there's a bunch of little crap that happens in the nfl during offseason so I figured I'd make a thread to keep lot of the topics in here.

I'll start off with the Ray Lewis topic

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/11306760/
There's a typo where it says he wants to get out before the 2005 season, it should be 2006 season.

So Ray Lewis wants out of Baltimore...so I'm thinking, hey send him to the Giants, of course I doubt it'll happen, but we need some better linebackers and he's...well he's one of the best atm.

He used to be one of the best, now he's the best pile jumper, big money, pile jumping, and an old man who doesnt have many years left isnt worth it, to me.

As for the Steelers offseason, bring in the Edge!! ....:wah:

My 2nd cousin Cooper Carlisle, an OL for the Broncos was good friends with Gary Kubiak. He called him last week and asked him how he liked it in Houston, and who he will draft. He said right now, he's leaning towards Reggie Bush. Not exactly breaking news, but he is not 100% sure yet.

Edit: Just found out he's more likely to trade the pick than draft Young or Leinart, despite a lot of letters from fans to draft Young.

If this year was an indication of anything, the Steelers have a decent schedule, could be good, maybe not.

It's way too early to be making predictions, but who cares, it's for fun.

Steelers schedule

Bengals, Ravens, Browns twice....aside from the Browns they usually are competitive games, as long as the Bungles have that defense and the Ravens have that offense, I'm not sold on any of them beating us, if BenRo is healthy that is...6-0....but just for shits, lets say we lose to Baltimore at Baltimore, since we havent won there in 3 years...so as for the division lets say 5-1.

Denver, Kansas City, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Miami @ Pittsburgh..seems pretty tough, but maybe not. We proved we can destroy Denver, KC has a great running game, something we are great at stopping that, take away that, then KC could be an easy win..7-1, New Orleans is a mess and will continue to be so lets add a win against them, 8-1, Miami may be a problem, great receivers and a good running game, tough defense, so I'll say the Steelers lose in a close one, 8-2....then TB, Steelers are GREAT against NFC teams...Tampa Bay has a shaky offense so I'll say a win..9-2 (7-1 at home)

Oakland, San Diego, Atlanta, Carolina, Jacksonville are the road teams. Jacksonville and Oakland are soft so those are 2 easy wins, Oakland needs all the help they can get, and I'm confident against Jacksonville if Turnover Tommy and no Hines Ward could take them to OT..11-2, Chargers will be a problem with Brees....without Brees, it should be a win. 12-2, with Brees, I'll say 11-3, but lets stick with 12-2 Carolina and Atlanta, we lose to Carolina because they are a great well rounded team, and Atlanta, if we contain Vick, the game is over, and that we can do...so we have 13-3...of course this is judging from this year, anything can happen during the offseason.

Home
Dallas - Dallas sucks
Philadelphia - I don't see the Eagles retaking their division next year so I doubt they'll beat us even with McNabb.
Washington - Washington will be a good team next year. I still think we can beat them at home but not as much as we did last year. We still have a good team and our linebackers will have to improve which I'm sure they will.
New Orleans - They sorry
Tampa Bay - Well...they do have a good defense. If Cadillac does just as good next year they'll be tough. I don't know how well our secondaries will be next year either so I'm going to just say this may become a loss.
Houston- They sorry
Indianapolis- Fuck. Loss
Chicago- It all depends on how well Eli does next year I think. I'm sure he'll develop and not make as many bad throws as he did during the last part of the season. And they really don't have much on their offense that I'm afraid of so I'll say we'll come out with a win.
6-2
Road games
Dallas - I refuse to say we'll lose to Dallas
Philadelphia - Or the Eagles
Washington - But I don't think we'll beat Washington next year. BTW, does anyone know if Lavar will still be there next year? I heard some stuff about him not coming back and that Sean Taylor got himself into a lot of trouble so idk about those two. If they have them I don't think we can beat them at home.
Atlanta - I think we can contain Vick. We have 2 of the best DE's in the league. And their defense didn't do a damn thing this year.
Carolina - Fuck them. We'll lose this one.
Jacksonville - We can beat them
Tennessee - They're sorry too.
Seattle- Eh, I'll just say we lose this one too.

11-5

Of course guessing this early I'll probablly be way off...and whenever i do guess this early I'm usually biased...

Well anyway, I guess Drew won't be back no more.

Redskins Away Games:

- Cowboys (Loss. I have a bad feeling Dallas will seek revenge from last year. Dallas will win)
- Gaints (Loss. Gaints will take us, but this time a more tight game than last years 36-0 murder)
- Eagles (Loss, but close game)
- Saints (Victory)
- Bucs (Victory, close game like always)
- Rams (Victory)
-Texans (Easy Victory)
- Colts (Loss. No way in hell)

Home Games

- Cowboys (Victory, not a blow out this time, a more closer game)
- Eagles (Victory, another close game)
- Giants (Victory, this will go down to the wire)
- Atlanta (Victory, Vick will do well, not well enough)
- Panthers (Victory)
- Vikings (Victory, blow out possible)
- Jacksonville (Victory, very close game)
- Titans (Victory)

Redskins 12-4. I see the skins or the new york giants taking the division.

So who's going to lose the Daunte Bowl? It looks like Ravens, Oakland, Miami and the N.Y. Jets may be looking. (http://www.startribune.com/510/story/259636.html). If the vikes get a decent rb for him I will be extactic.

Has anyone looked at this site? http://www.profootballtalk.com/

I like how people or some for that matter think that the Eagles will not retake the NFC again. It's good to have faith, but you can't stop the inevitable. The eagles will be the power house of the NFC next season. Yes, Mcnabb makes that big of a difference, if he would have stayed healthy, we would have made the playoffs, we lossed close games without Mcnabb, the only game was to the seahawks that wasn't close. Even with Mcmahon averaging 5 int's a game we still played close games, atleast with Mcnabb we would have made the playoffs, we were 4-3 before mcnabb left. We were hurting in the Cb and Wr positions with Sheppard and Pinkston out too, so I fill real confident this season that we will dominate. Anyway, heres our schedule.
Home Games
Atlanta- Victory
Carolina- Close but we still win.
Dallas- Victory
Jacksonville-Victory
Green Bay- Easy Victory
NY Giants- Victory
Tennesse- Easy Victory
Washington- Loss- Good Defense

Away Games
New Orleans- Victory
Tampa Bay- Close but we still come throuh.
Dallas- Victory
Houston'- Victory
Washington- Victory, Close game
NY Giants- Victory
Indy- Loss, but close
San Fran- Another blow out game.

Steelers have a hard schedule this year. Alot harder then last year, but if they get a runningback like edge i think they can handle it.

Cowboys have a hard one once again, i just hope we win our divisional games. I know we can beat the giants and probaly eagles, just redskins worry me

And 2000 civic, dallas beat them 34-10 last year when they had mcnabb and t.o. Dont expect it to be like the years when they made the championship every year lol..

They could never afford Edge, not only that if they could they wouldnt because the Rooneys dont believe in big money superstars....shit Hines was lucky enough to get some extra dough.

And it does seem like a difficult schedule, but the Steelers are a well versed team, unlike some of them teams..not only that, at this point 13-3 would seem logical...they are the Superbowl champs, and can find ways to beat any team.

hehe, nice to see you guys blindly predicting your teams success already...:)

My team has a lot of potential and we still have time to improve the roster, its always unpredictable when you get a new coach so im just gunna wait and see who we have on the team come the 06 season...

I think we have an ok Schedule. Outside the division the tough teams are the Pats, Panthers, Seahawks and Redskin's with luck we can pick up a win or two here. We have a good few easy matches though...Packers(x2), Lions(x2), Cards, 49ers which are 6 games we should realy win. Then we have the Jets, Bills, Rams, Dolphins and Bears (x2) which are games that i think will define our season. 4 of these teams batted below thier average last season for various reasons so its hard to predict these matches until i know what state they are in closer to the time.

i expect us to make the playoffs but it all rests on how well childress does.

The guy went 7-2 as starter last year, already won a super bowl. I'm glad Brads back. Hopefully they get something for Pep and Bennet.

'The Vikings began gauging Culpepper's trade value last week following a series of contract-related disagreements. Baltimore and Miami are among the teams they have called; others shopping for quarterbacks include the Raiders and Jets.'

'The Vikings have informed at least four of their prospective free agents that they will not be re-signed: running back Michael Bennett, cornerback Ralph Brown, center Cory Withrow and quarterback Shaun Hill.'

But then again, You don't know what it's like to make it to the Champhionship game every year, so ofcourse I don't expect you to understand. One bad year and you think that the Eagles are out of it, Look at New England and Carolina, both teams went to the super bowl had a shitty season the next then became contenders again, except New England won the super bowl. And that 34-10 was sort of alike the ass whooping we gave the Cowboys season b4 last when it was 49-21 on monday night. Think what you want, the Eagles own the NFC, 4 years of dominacy and 1 bad year don't mean really nothing, now if we have the same record last season then I will start to worry. I want to see a Pennsylvania Super Bowl this year, what you think atreyu_2020? Being the Fact that we are a pass first run second, and the steelers show that they can be as dangerous on the passing part as well as the running game gives them the edge.

Lets look at the teams he defeated..

Lions (twice), Giants (if not for special teams your boy wouldnt have done shit), Packers, Browns, and the Rams....impressive.

And that seventh victory was against a second string Bears team.

Nothing against your team or anything, I predicted them to go to the Superbowl at the beginning of the year....but Brad Johnson is not your answer.

No i dont know what its like for cowboys to go to 4 straight confrence games and never win a superbowl, cause i guarentee you most teams in the nfl would win a superbowl by then. And the eagles were dominant back then because the nfc was horrible. 2 years ago 8-8 teams got in as wildcards. Now eagles actually have a hard division, and they have to beat teams like carolina, tampa bay, seattle, chicago, washington, dallas, new york, instead of shitty 8-8 teams like they did before

Say what you want, The Eagles will make another run this year and go through our division like it wasnt shit like it's been the past couple of years. Oh and how many teams do you think can actually do what the eagles have done year in and year out, maybe 3 teams. Until the Eagle have another lousy season which we won't don't speak to me at all. The Giants had their chance last season to do something in our division while the Eagles were taking a break of being dominate for once, Instead of the Giants taking advantage of it, they got blew out by Carolina, and by what I mean blew out yall didn't score a single point, not even a field goal. The only team that I find that will give us difficulty is the Redskins, that have a good D unlike the cowboys and giants, If only the Redskins had an offence they might have made it to the NFC Championship game.

That would be a smart move by the Texans, they already have a good running back and qb, they just need to get an offensive line that can block. Without an line ofcourse your qb will have a nfl record high of sacks each year.

News for Bronco fans...

Broncos waived Mike Anderson, Trevor Price and Jeb Putzier.

I think Anderson is a solid back but with Bell and Dayne still in the line up I think we can afford to let him go. I've always been a fan of Price, but I guess he'll just have to be another victim of the salary cap. Putzier isn't anything special and I think we won't have a problem replacing him.

With Palmer they can win 8 or 9??? Are you shitting me? Do you know how many games we won last year. True, our schedule is tied for the hardest in the NFL but if we can go into the playoffs coming off of a win streak we can really make some noice. Just wait you Pissburgh pussy.

How do you know this?
It's wrong. I could've sworn Sportscenter said that he was going to be there for another year and then a couple weeks later they said he was still undecided. So I guess I just heard it wrong.

You had like 3 MNF games last years. Last year the Giants had none, and we were still the most watched team in the NFL (and we still get no respect) . But this year we get 2 and I think one saturday night and one sunday night.
