That was AWESOME. I wonder where you can buy one of those suckers? I swear I've seen that little truck before.
I've still got my old albums sitting around here somewhere. It's a fun toy, but that's about all it is--a conversation piece, something to bring to a party and amuse folks.
I WANT ONE!
80 percent of people who watched that had no idea what the black, flat round thing was that the truck went around. Makes me nostalgic.

Its an old VW bus, you can still find them on some websites. But I have heard they will destroy your records.

I do not believe they destroy the records. I saw a documentary of Hip-Hop DJs and record scroungers and one of them used it to test records.
A person must understand that records get damaged a tiny bit every time it's used by record player or whatever...eventually the grooves wear out.
That being said, it should take a LONG time, and it's possible but unlikely IMO that the VW-Bus Player shortens that length of time.

I'm not saying you're wrong neccessarily. But as I said, any needle is bad for the grooves. That, being said, I've never scene one of these things. . .I've never seen one in person.
But, I figure, if you scratch you records, and shit like that, this couldn't be too much worse...In most scratching the needle goes over and over the same spot...
You may be right though. . .

It's neato... and I'm nearly certain that well over 80% of people know what records are. IDK I'm 17 and I own a few.

it isn't about the needle, it's about those motorized wheels skidding all over your record. i sure wouldn't actually use one of those for anything more than a party trick.

I'm 16 and I own about 50 records. Mostly classic rock, and some Monty Python stuff. Instead record collection, anyone?
