I watch the races from time to time, but I wouldn't call myself a fan.
But Formula 1 is the greatest thing racing sport has to offer, no doubt.
Oh, and the greatest driver (current and all time) is of course Michael Schumacher.

who would of guessed that, i personally think he is just the guy with the biggest budget. I am a fan of webber if he could only get his car around the entire races. the best straregist i have seen is mika hakkineon, or coulthard when they drove together at mclaren, brilliant races

I love F1 and have been to Silverstone twice.
I used to be a big Shuey fan until it started getting boring watching him mop the floor with everyone every race, Im a Jenson Button fan now but I want MaClaren to win the constructors championship.
Best driver of all time?
Id say Michael Schumacher, 7 world titles (5 of them consecutivley) but the again Jaun Fangio won 5 world titles in the 1950s when there was no driving aids what-so-ever, 200 mph in cars with not much else apart from a steering wheel and a seatbelt, Schuey is the best driver in the world but would he have won as many championships back in the days when you were 10 times more likely of dying during a race???
Its one of those questions that will never be answered like how good George Best would be at football these days with the high-tech balls and football boots.

I went to Silverstone for the 2000 British GP and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Better than any football match.
I always watch Formula 1 when it's on, although I'm not as big a fan as I once was due to some stupid rule changes which have really hurt the sport. It's good to see a British driver (Jenson Button) doing so well though, even though he's a bit of a twat..

Agreed, the new changes to rules and regulations I think are toss, they should have just left everything how it was though some people might argue last seasons championship was the most exciting for about 5 years bcoz of the changes.

Best driver of all time? I think that's kind of a no brainer. It begins and ends with Ayrton Senna. That guy was amazing.

Senna was shit-hot and its a shame he died bcoz he only won 3 championships... Prost, Pique, Jackie Stewart and Lauda all won 3 championships, Fangio and Schumacher have won even more.
It is difficult to say who is the best ever bcoz Schumacher has won the most championships but Fangio (even though he won 2 less) was champion when it was so much harder to drive the cars and Senna only won 3 titles but was killed so how many titles could he have won?
You can pick any of the 3 and say they are the best ever and nobody could say you are wrong, its all about opinion when the drivers in question are all awesome.

Yeah, that's true. It seems as though they try to implement new rules every year to make the cars slower, and less dangerous. Having to use treaded tires, having to change the aerodynamics, and the engine itself. The thing is, the drivers, after several races, find ways to make the cars go faster with these new rules in place. It's fuckin' crazy.
Anyways, I've always been a fan of Senna, Hill, Schumacher, and Irvine. But, one of ym favorite drivers was Hakkinen. That guy could do it all, and had so much more potential if only he gave it a few more years. Guess he was getting a bit old, though.
Next year's gonna be crazy when they move Valentino Rossi into the Ferrari driver seat! From Moto GP to F1, now there's a hell of a leap. Also, aren't Ferrari going to have that Pakki rave for them next year, too?

I am a newer F1 fan, so I am still learning. :)
Sounds like Schumy is staying so unless they get rid of Massa, don't think Rossi is coming to Ferrari.
Up next San Marino Grand Prix...

Schumi is never going to allow Rossi into the Ferrari team alongside him, he is too much of a threat. Schumi has always chosen crap team mates throughout his career, he just wants dominance and #1 driver status all the time. Schumi cracks when under pressure too (Australia 1994, Jerez 1997).
Senna was the better driver, he didnt give a f*ck who his team mate was.. he would beat them just the same. Senna also had to race against tougher oppenents (Mansell, Prost, Piquet).
Schumi's only real opponent was Hakkinen, and that was only very briefly.

Wow a lot of F1 fans round here
Shumi is definitly the best driver of all time, but Alonso looks to have the potential to surpass him. He is just too good.
I'm a williams fan myself. Rosberg look like a very good driver. I hope williams keeps him.

Well the new rumor is that Schumi & Kimi will be teammates. Talk about threat there as long as Kimi doesn't party to hard. If he does Schumi will find him in the gutter on the way back from the track.

Kimi is an awesome driver.. anywone who can come from the back and finish in 3rd or 2nd place is unbeliveable.. Shumi is good as long as he gets up front..he hates traffic... Niether Kimi or Alonso have problems with traffic as they are fast in whatever situation.
I support the Mclaren Team so im always routing for Kimi to win... Montoya needs to get his head out of his ass and start delivering!!!
Ill tell you one thing though.... im not looking forward to the new rules in 2008... its going to kill the sport...

If Kimi and Schumi ever become teammates (I'll beleve that one when I see it), kimi will be the quicker of the two.
With young guys like Alonso, Kimi and maybe Nico Rosberg.. Schumy is nolonger the king of F1.
and Jenson Button is an embarassment btw

You will see it.... next year... Kimi HAS signed for Ferrari & Shumi is not going to retire this year (I think)
Jenson is just having shit luck... he proved he can drive quick but now the car set up is letting him down.
I just hope Alonso can get McLaren back on track..... Montoya..... can go to Minor Banger Racing league or something......as he is shit.....beyond belief

Yeah Montoya is pretty bad these days, I used to think he was a good driver too.
I haven't read anything about Kimi signing for Ferrari yet. If he does then I think Schumi will retire, especially if he gets beaten by Alonso. I'd love to seen them in the same team... just can't see it happening somehow.
