Heh, that title's going to attract a lot of negative attention. Please don't take it the wrong way - I have nothing against eBaums. Really. I like the site. And I fully intend to become a decent member of the forum community - I guess as a first post this kinda sucks.

But I'm interested in what the community in general thinks about the claims against the site. Obviously they're bullcr*p, but why do you think eBaums has got a lot of negative publicity recently? Are the other sites jealous, or bored and making trouble, or what? Did eBaums get too popular for it's own good? (is such a thing possible?) As you might guess, I'm pretty new to 'Baums, so assume I've been living in a cave for the past few years. A cave without an internet connection.

If you're refering to the supposed "copyright infringements", then there's no controversy. None, at all. Morons that don't know anything about copyright laws will tell you differently, but in a legal sense, eBaums has done nothing wrong.

Imo, there's no jealousy, no boredom, little bit of trouble making but mostly just blatant ignorance. Hang out for a while, you'll see what I'm talking about. No matter how many times you explain the law to them, they come back with the same b.s....

I think it's mostly that everyone wants what we have here, and can't.
I've a forum troll for about 7 years, mostly because I hate IM (poor typing skills). No forum I've ever hung out at is as much fun as this one. If you don't find something here every day that makes you laugh or brightens your day, I guess you're just not looking hard enough.

Mr. Bauman makes about $6,000 a day from his website. He gets millions of unique viewers a day. But, how would you feel if you made an animation (or media clip) that someone carelessly submitted to Ebaumsworld (posed as the author) and Ebaums didn't take it off the site. Ebaumsworldsucks.com pretty much explains it.

I don't hate Ebaumsworld, I just hate the way they treat the people who actually created the file.
