I didn't reallylike him at first but now, i don't know, I don't really like many of his hard and fast songs, but i love his calm ones, they are the only calm metal songs that actually make me feel kinda sad, like in this river, it could jsut be because it's a dimbeag trib. though.:wah:

He's a good guitarist, but he must be incredibly arrogant, because he doesn't know where he stands in music. I believe he was one of the ones who ruined Maiden's show at Ozzfest, either by throwing eggs at them, or jumping on the stage with an American flag.

So, I have lost all respect for him as a musician, but he is a good guitarist.

Zakk is a good guitarist, as mentioned, far from the best, thats what i hate the most.. all the ass-kissers proclaiming him being the "guitar master", just...no...

And yes after the Maiden incident ive lost the not so large amount of respect i had for him, plus hes in general just a huge asshole, every interview with him his personality just screams "asshole".

Basically, Sharon Osbourne invited/begged Iron Maiden to play at the 2005 Ozzfest; and when they did she coordinated a lowly attack. She made arrangements for eggs to be smuggled in past security, and tried to rally on people to throw eggs at Maiden (and threw some herself). She also arranged Maiden's sound equipment cutting out randomly, shouts of 'Ozzy' over the sound system as well as someone jumping on to the stage with an American flag during the Trooper when Dickinson (as he has done for the last 20 years or so) was waving the British flag around (the song relates to Brits).

Maiden's show was still the best there, and people at the Ozzfest were infuriated by Sharon's lowly tactics. They overpowered the 'Ozzy' shouts with ones supporting Maiden.

I also have sound recordings of both Dickinson and Sharon during the concert. Dickinson says "Because there is nothing, and fucking nothing that will get between Iron Maiden and the fucking Iron Maiden audience".

Iron Maiden handled the situation very well. During Sharon's speech, you can hear a lot of booing. She claims that she likes Iron Maiden, but hates the singer - yet she feels the need to sabotage the show, not only for the rest of the band, but for everyone. Ozzfest has lost a lot of fans because of this incident.
