I really want to see Mos, Talib, Common, The Roots and Dead Prez. I dont care much to see Kanye since ive seen just about enough of him, but im fine with watching him do a song or too.

I havent been listening to rap that long now, just a couple years, but a few of the people I listen to now i first heard on The Chappelle Show. I saw Mos Def, Talib Kweli and The Roots for the first time on that show, and immediately got their albums after i did. So i think it will be cool seeing them perform again by the man who introduced me to them, and hearing some of Chappelles comedy sure wont hurt.

Anyone else interested by this?

I only want to see it if theres a lot of Dave Chapelle comedy on it...I know its not gonna be a sketch though, but hes funny all the time. I won't watch it if its just a bunch of rap concerts

Well im definately seeing it this weekend. Its got a 96% at Rotten Tomatoes, and critics who say they hate rap found themselves enjoying many of the artists (like Roger Ebert). Thats really good, cause i didnt like much rap till i heard most of these artists.

He's not funny, i've watched only about 3 of his shows at my friends place he was laughing his ass off everytime he said the word nigger.. i'm just like.. "wtf.. this shits stupid, put in some chris rock" When he drops the N bomb its actually funny.

I did hate Chappelle Show for a long time. His first season, the only thing i thought was truly, genuinely funny was Clayton Bigsby, the blind, black, KKK leader. That, i saw, and laughed my ass off, but never found anything else funny. I didnt bother watching most of the shows, but have of his most recent season, and it is quite a bit funnier. Its one of the few shows that has gotten funnier as it progressed. Jury Selection, ive seen it 20 times, and cant stop laughing every time.

The thing that i hate the most about it are the fans. I live about 20 miles north of Detroit, so everyone likes to think they are hardcore gangster. We have like 5 black people in our school of a few thousand. Its an extremely white area where everyone has $500,000 houses or more, brand new cars on 16th birthday, very rich, snobby, white-like. Still, everyone likes to be black, so you couldnt go anywhere without hearing people quote that show like mad. Every ten fucking seconds id hear a "WHAT!?!" or "Im Rick James, SLAP!" in the halls. When Chappelle did Lil John, funny as fuck. When everyone else does it, annoying as fuck.
