36 Mafia winning is a disgrace to the both movies AND music. I loved Hustle and Flow, thougfht the acting was great and I thought the story was great. And if you read any of my posts you will know that I LOVE hip hop.
36 DOes not deserve a major award such as an oscar or grammy. I don';t really dislike them that much because I love catchy music and they make catchy songs. Maybe Its just that they are the ones who started crunk (not Lil jon) and I think crunk is one of the most pointless music genres out there. I'm all for them getting a Teen CHoice award for best party song but not an Oscar. Oh well.
Oh well. Go underdog. Yay 3-6

Hustle And Flow was a good movie.. but let's face it.. the music was laughable. To me that's part of the appeal of the movie.. it wasn't some uncontainable talent who was breaking into the music business.. it was some pimp from memphis fucking around on an electric keyboard and talkin about slapping bitches. It goes so well with the gritty setting of the storyline..

Hey I'm not saying it was a great song, I'm just saying I like seeing a rap group win an oscar.
The song isn't 'Amazing' or 'Poetic' but it does fit the movie, and has good beats/flow in it.
Hate it or love it, they won.
