Might you happen to know...does this guy record albums? Is he in a band? What's his deal?
I've only heard this and a select few other solos from the guy, but with skills like this I wanna hear what he can do with a real band.

Good stuff. I like how he uses the under notes.
Anyone playing an old Martin D-18 is doing something right. :p

He definitely plays a mean guitar, but those tricks get old after a while.

In his case, I have to disagree. Although I haven't heard anything from this guy beyond a few solos, I haven't gotten bored with his playing the way I do with, for example, Victor Wooten on bass. This guy manages to use really crazy techniques but still maintain a very musical flow to the music. Actually, I'd like to hear a full song made with the stuff he plays in this solo. That's just my opinion though.

Pretty good. Doesn't seem to versitile though.
Buckethead's album (Electric Tears, which has a lot of acoustic) blows that stuff away. But then again I'm talking about Buckethead.
This guy is good though.

Electric Tears is insane. The whole album is nothing but guitar (set with loops and crazy effects), and I think maybe a drum-loop or 2....maybe. Anyway, Electric Tears seems like a wierd comparison to this. The album is beautiful, but it's like really really slow mellow music, this guy's just going crazy on his guitar. The only similarity at all is that they're both using a guitar.

Ever heard of Antonio Forcione (http://www.antonioforcione.com/)?
I couldnt find any vids or mp3s of him but I went to see him live in my local theater cause my brother plays guitar and he dragged me along. Cut a long story short...He total rocked my socks off!
I bought an album he was selling at the gig (and got him to sign it) called "Acoustic Revenge" and its great. The whole album is just him with an acoustic guitar playing like the first Justin king vidio. If you get a chance to see him live go for it...its mind blowing how good he is and realy takes it to a level i never thought possible.
