best new first car

i need a car but i dont know what to get i have been looking at two ends of the spectrum
1.volkswagen gti vr6

2.jeep sport

HELP any reccomendations are welcome

It depends on alot of factors.

1. How old are ya, if you are young leave the VW VR6 alone.

2. Geographical location, the jeep is too light for the snow 4X4 or not.

3. Do you drive like a jackass or like a normal person. If you are a young teen then it will be beat to hell, just buy a junker.

4. Your past driving history. I have talked in another thread on the things I drive and a first timer will not be able to own a Porsche like myself.

If you want serious advice then well talk here if not then just do what ever, it will be expensive if you chose wrong and you will propably have a repo on your credit reports.

The VW doesn't take up as much gas, has a turbo engine (:)), and looks nice (hey, u gotta be able to pick women up in it).

My advice to you is to buy a big piece of shit car, like an old oldsmobile or crown vic.....cuz i PROMISE you you will crash your first car.

yeah, ive been following that, my friend has one, its only for the new ones, old ones dont blow up. It seems whenever someone rear ends a crown vic, even at speeds lower than 30, the gas tank splits and explodes.......mmmmmmm BBQ pork

yeah i noticed that about jeeps
but i have made my decision and it is a little out of place but i am getting a GMC sonoma (tiny pickup) and i an putting a little bit of a lift kit on it and bigger tires
it looks pretty good when its done

I do have to admit there is a fine line between a nice truck and a hick truck. Trucks can be very usefull. I'll prob be picking one up here soon to use as a beater car. Because, I can get a small truck early 90's or so pretty cheap, they didn't really make any SUV's worht having back then. (short of an overpriced jeep wranger with no cargo capacity)
