Anyone else hear use a mp3 CD player? I didn't know they made these. I just got a portable CD player cause my old one is fucked beyond belief (it needs 2 pieces of duct tape to work properly) and when I read the package it says it can play mp3s. Apparently, you can use a regular CDR and burn it as a "data disc" instead of an "audio disc'. This way, I fit like 7 full albums on one CD.
If you're like me, you have about 300 CD's in your room that you still listen to and don't want to part with...but I also have a few gigs of music on my PC. This way, I have the best of both worlds.
It's a great alternative for people who don't wanna drop $200+ on an iPod.

It only works on certain CD players, but I never heard of this. How long has this been around?

I've heard of the Iriver company, they make some crazy shit. I'll have to look into their mp3 players....but I love my CD's and it's gonna take a couple days to get them all on my PC in mp3 format. Dammit.
