Very true...people have different styles of comedy they like. Looking at the blue collar comedy tour, I like three of them, but I cant stand Larry the Cable Guy. He can be funny sometimes, but a lot of his jokes are too.....simple, in my opinion...

I also love Carlos Mencia, but everytime I bring him up here I get about 10 replies talking about how he sucks...

And I love Lewis Black....

In the end, I prefer comics that make a storng political and social statement, and doing it by pointing out how stupid everyone is being, etc...Politics is my subject, so thats why it appeals to me so much. But it differs with everyone. There is a comic out there for everyone.

I am still annoyed that Lewis Black isnt up there yet...At least post one of his good stand-ups...His comedy central special wasnt that great, but I would find some of his other works...

Will Franken just released the final installment of his podcast series "Things We Did Before Reality". It is called "Side Two of Abbey Road". Will chose this to be the title for two reasons: one, because it has always been his favorite side of his favorite album by his favorite band; and the other because since it was the twelfth and final installment of the Beatle's collaboration, it was fitting to use as the backdrop for the twelfth and final installment of his podcast series.

The way he blends the music with his life story is amazing, even going so far as to synchronize the beat of his dialog around the lyrics, guitar licks, and breaks in the songs. The piece really pays homage to the brilliance of the Beatles and as such is by far the most reverent piece of work I've ever heard.
