I was just listening to pink floyd "welcome to the machine". It has to be a hella crazy/scary song if someone is/was high. name what you think might be the trippiest song?

Depends what you like to trip to.
Yes is pretty fucking trippy. The Beatles are pretty fucking trippy.
When you're tripping all music sounds trippy, but many bands take it the extra step. Pretty much, see the 60s for the trippiest music you will ever hear (including some jazz mother fucker).

The Doors - Crystal Ship
Alice Cooper - Refrigerator Heaven
Pink Floyd - Up The Khyber
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
And of course, Burzum - Dunkelheit

I always freak out to The Doors "The End". The last 5 minutes are wear I talk to Jesus and he hands me a Butter Finger.
Pink Floyd is great to trip too, but you have eto know what to look for. Pink Floyd's "Ummagumma" has the trippiest song ever. The song is called "SEVERAL SPECIES OF SMALL FURRY ANIMALS GATHERED TOGETHER IN A CAVE AND GROOVING WITH A PICT". Once you hear it, you'll know why...

"Welcome to The Machine" is my most memorable song during trips. Whenever I listened to Wish You Were Here while tripping, that song usually came on right as the trip set it.
As for some trippy shit, check out Floyd's album, "Umma Gumma". Another good one by them is "Meddle" Or, anything by Mahavishnu Orchestra. My favorite by them is "Dream", but they have a shitload of other badass songs.

Haha I know what you mean. Disco Volante is one of the most whacked out and fucked up CD's I've ever heard. That's why I like it. It's so original and unlike anything else I've ever heard. The end of After School Special just haunted me. Trippy.
As for Fantomas, go with Suspended Animations. Great CD.

Psychedelic rock with trippy mesmerizing organwork and flutework, driving basslines, fuzz guitar, maybe some eclectic sitar, tight drumwork... possibly some bongo drums too. Some synth is nice if it's used properly.

You just described perfection.
I love the "tight drumwork" on A Love Supreme...you can really tell it had an influence on psychedelic bands.

"Kind of Blue" is pretty slow and mellow. I wouldn't call it trippy, but I've learned a lot about jazz and a ton of other stuff listening to that album stoned.
"On The Corner" and "Bitches Brew" are kinda trippy, but not as chill or mellow.
Dude, get the album "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane for some trippy, amazing jazz.
and check out Medeski Martin and Wood for some free form trippy jazz.

Drop trio is a band that is very similar to Medeski Martin and Wood. They're in the houston/austin area so a lot of people haven't ever heard them. They call it intsumental spaceship jazz.
Check out their website, they always have several recent live shows available for download. Or you can just listen to the song on the main site that plays automatically.

I love California though.

If you want to hear a really trippy song from the 60s, you have to listen to Vegetable Man by Pink Floyd. When they recorded the song, they never officially released it on any album because the record company thought it was too insane. Vegetable Man is definantly a very trippy song. I'll upload it and post it in a little bit.
EDIT Uploaded it:

The machine by floyd is really trippy.
However, Darkstar by the Grateful Dead is 30 minutes of pure acid rock. The Dead were the first to do acid rock. If you think it was hendrix or the beatles, think again. It's a long story and i dont have the time, so read The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe

Anything by Collide, and certain songs from The Gathering. They have a 20 plus minute "song" (they describe it as a soundscape) called "How To Measure A Planet". And on the same album, another really weird song with no lyrics, "South American Ghost Ride". If you like this kind of stuff, you should check those out.
