I just found this video about 20 minutes ago, i got so fucking pumped, it is a great song. The video is humourous and hearing some new Chili Peppers material alone makes me jizz myself, cant wait for SA.

Very nice find. And Dani California sounds great. Dammit, I cannot wait for the new album - it's 5 days after my birthday.

has anyone seen the shitty artwork for the album?

Yeah I've seen it, The first disk is called "Mars" the second is called "Jupiter", so thats why it has the space theme.

I think the space theme is pretty cool, but the artwork isnt too relevant, what is mostly important is that the music is good, and so far Dani California is sounding excellent.

Cool vid and song. There are other 2006 releases I'm more looking forward to, but this looks good.

Anthony Kiedis was friends with Kurt Cobain.
Meanwhile, like I said before, the song sounds great. But I just WISH they could go back to their old funk.

Well this is only one song out of 28 (i believe thats how many will be on SA), and Anthony has said that there are some funk tunes on there, so we'll see how things go, i have no doubt that it will kick ass.

Yeah, it will still kick ass. RHCP has troves of good songs that don't make it on to their albums which they release on bonus discs (or not at all). So I'm sure that what they will end up putting on the album will be top quality.
Seeing as RHCP is my favourite band ever, I have a fair few of their rare songs.
For some pretty cool RHCP songs which are hard to find:
* Soul to Squeeze (it's a bit rare, but one of my favourite RHCP songs, appears on Coneheads soundtrack)
* Bunker Hill (another very good song)
* Eskimo (another cool rare song)
* Save the Population
* Out of Range
* Rollercoaster of Love (Good cover of this Ohio Players song, appears on Beavis and Butthead)
* Castles Made of Sand (Cover of Jimi Hendrix song, appears now and again)
* Dr Funkenstein (Cover of Parliament song, appears on Under the Covers)
* Flea's Cock (Appears on Plasma CD)
* Gong Li (song about a Chinese actress, Californication bonus disc)
* How Strong (Californication bonus disc)
I have them, so I can upload them if someone wants them. I have more rare songs by them as well.

Yup cool. Just check your messages - I've sent one to you.
EDIT: EBW won't let me send a PM to you for some reason. You might want to check if you can change that in the User Control Panel.
What's your e-mail address? It might be easier to do it that way.

Yeah, no problem. Just PM me your e-mail address. It's 10 pm in NZ, so I might not get around to doing it till I get back from school tomorrow.

Not exactly, RHCP has a pretty rabid fan base and they have sold 50 million+ albums.

Flea's using Jazz basses again instead of that god-awful Modulus. Things are going to be alright guys.
