My favorite band. In my opinion they have an amazing sound, and they've been around for ever. Right now I'm listening to The Diamond Sea, which is an amazing song. My two fav albums are Dirty and Daydream Nation. They have the best lyrics of any band out there. discuss.

umm...this is a thread to post about sonic youth. yes bob dylan is very good, but i love Sonic Youth's lyrical style.

Sonic Youth are my favourite band aswell. I've got just about all their albums (didn't buy the shitty ones and couldn't find the SYR series), and my favourite has to be Sister. Daydream Nation is a classic too, but Sister is more in your face and the songwriting is much better.

Can't wait for their next album (out in June, I've heard), but it's a shame they wont be recording with Jim O'Rourke..

Sister is in my CD player right now. Daydream might be only slightly better and Murray Street may be only slightly worse.

whoah sweet i just got Washing Machine. Sounds pretty good so far, I love no Queen Blues and of course the Diamond Sea
