Last night i was workin Bouncin at a Bar and this dude i'm decent friends with asked me if i wanted to buy a stolen xbox 360 for rediculously cheap (he just needs the money asap thats y he's selling it so cheap). the xbox is brand new and still in the box, the only thing is is that its a Hot XBOX. I'm wondering if i do eventually buy it and i try to play online are there any microsoft computer chips in the system or something that would be able to track this HOT XBOX and tell the company that i'm in posession of a stolen xbox? regardless if i do eventually purchace this xbox i'll prob just sell it myself but for probably much more than i bought it. but its just a question i've been thinkin about... thnx

I doubt it has tracking software inside it, just seems like money ms wouldn't want to add to the list. I personally would buy it, since you have deniability 'even if' you got caught. You didn't know it was stolen, some guy needs money quick so he sells you his xbox. There was no way you could've known

I doubt it, if its new in box then the guy never used Xbox Live, and therefore it has never been connected to the internet, and has no way of telling what IP adress it was at before.

So unless the guy who got it stolen from memorized the bar code number (or whatever) on the side of the box, then your good.

By the way, how much is this guy selling it to you for?

Yup, your hands are pretty much clean. I wouldn't do it though, cause some 10 year old out there is prolly crying cause some huge black dude broke into his house and stole the only thing he was waiting for for the past year.

Even if you didn't know that it was stolen, you can still be charged and held responsible for stolen merchandise.

That's IF you get caught. I personally would buy it, but high chances are someone starts talking, and bam you're caught.

if you don't want it, send it to me.

i kno for a fact that it was stolen from an actual store not a person who bought it. so now what do yall think... also he's tryin to sell it around $70. The dudes gettin evicted today actually and needs to raise as much cash as possible to stop his landlord from throwin his shit out, so its basically a despiration move on his part and not a crackheadish type of sell...

for 70 bucks, fucking buy that shit. If you don't, when the landlord ceases his apartment, he can take whatever is inside legally. So that asshole will get that xbox 360 for free.

yeah. buy it. you just won't be able to play on xboxlive. (guessing the company reported the xbox stolen, and they ban the serial)

if you get caught, just say you bought it for $200 from a guy who needed quick money.

The Xbox is probably defective and there's a good chance it has the red light error like 75% of did for the first shipment. If it was recently stolen then go for it, but just think of the consequences first.

Its funny because me and my 10 friends bought 360's and they all worked fine.

But i dunno, if you do buy it make sure to be gentle with it when you take it out of the box. Remember hows its packed too. If its faulty just repackage it then sell it on eBay. Quick $650.

you got to know which one it is plus if they say you stole it blame it on the nig that did because you said your good friends with him.

Because it's a propietary PC. Nothing more. I have both of those games for the PC and didn't spend more for another console to run it.

The graphics are not much different than the X-Box.

The gameplay is shit, it skips like crazy(no it isn't my disc)...
It is just fuckin garbage.
