That was actually pretty bad ass. I'd say the only thing that takes away from it is some of the physical combat (punches, kicks, etc), they look too slow in comparison to the lightsaber fighting. Also, everyone knows only chicks and fags have yellow lightsabers. :lol:

they have to much time on there hands very sad but nice to watchIt's not as much of a "free time" thing as you'd think. That video was made for a lightsaber choreography contest that is put together by theforce.net on a yearly basis. This video won the contest a couple of years ago.

Definitely a badass video, cool ending.

The only bad thing about it is they spent too much time rolling around on the floor. Other than that, best vid in a long time.

Yeah, the vid was awesome, one of the best things i've seen on the main page for a long time. The combat was a little rigid at times, but considering it was two high school kids, it was pretty awesome.

Very good planning, convincing fighting.

If anyone's interested in making lightsabre effects (or a myriad of other professional-looking effects), I suggest you check out Adobe After Effects (the program they likely used to rotoscope the lightsabres).

The learning curve on it is fairly steep, and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone completely new to video editing/production (or too young), but it you have a decent understanding of NLEs and want to make kickass f/x, look into it.

That was quite amazing. Some of those takes, especially at the beginging, were pretty damn long. Would have taken a long ass time to get all that shit down. Lots of cool behind the back shit going on.

Anyone saying it is dorky is just stupid. Does it make you a bigger dork to spend your free time making one kick ass movie (something that takes lots of patience and a crazy amount of skill, especially with all the cuts and different angles this one had) or use it to surf the web?

The guy with the blue lightsaber, Ryan W, landed a job working for LucasArts, and did many of the effects for Star Wars: Republic Commando. This video also let him meet Nick Gillard and Hayden Christensen, the prequel trilogy lightsaber choreographer and Anakin Skywalker, respectively.

The guy with the yellow lightsaber, Dorkman, is in the process of opening an effects studio in California. This film also landed him a spot as moderator of the fan films forum at TheForce.net.

Why were they fighting? Not because Dorkman stole Ryan's girl. No, that wouldn't be the case. Dorkman is gay, and can still destroy you. Wow, does that make y'all feel stupid? Idiots...

So who was the guy who got away at the end? Was that a clone of the first Jedi? Do Jedis even allow cloning? Or was that supposed to be his Jedi ghost getting a final revenge? Or was that supposed to be the Director coming to the rescue of the dead first Actor (played by himself)?

And if it is a clone, why doesn't he look more guilty for showing up 5 seconds too fucking late?

In any case, it is well filmed and choreographed. Nice effects too.
