I play a game called "bumhunt". Basically, you chase bums around the park all day.... you can get tactical with it, go stealth and shit... or you can do a bumrush at them screaming wildly with a machete.

Its a great game, and best of all its free to play.

Joint Ops had the same problem, but JO was even more promising. The core game was better, they just had so many damn bugs the game was hard to play.

I'm not a huge fan of Battlefield 2 yet, because I've only played single player so far. Not to mention, I hate auto hover as it takes a lot of skill out of flying helicopters to cater for noobs. I thought the sniper kit was rather poor, since the sniper rifle seems fairly weak and you seem to be reloading every 2 seconds. And it's rather depressing when I choose to use an assault kit, only to end up using the pistol all the time because the other guns aren't effective.

Couldn't agree more. I thought the helos lost all the agility they had in other versions. They felt slow to me and noobish. Second, the rifles. LOL.. Please spare me the noob shit. I've been playing fps since 95. I know when I'm on target. The rifles seem to lack stopping power big time. I usually start at the chest and work up to the head with a small 3 shot burst. I've put as much as 6 shots into someone just to have them turn around and 1 shot me.

This happens so much that I consider the hitboxes are laggy and not where the player model is. The game is still buggy as hell. I'm getting massive packetloss. Kevlar actually stopped 6 bullets from an m4 at close range (...)

The sniper rifle is a waste, I don't need to go into detail. BF2 wants you in a squad right in the thick of the shit. They don't want pug lone wolves out there hiding in bushes getting all the kills. Anyone using the sniper rifle at its current state isn't helping their squad, the weapon's only use it to call out positions.

I like bf2 on a medium pug level. Most fps games I play at a competitive level, bf2 isn't a game I would play hard. It's not up to my standards for that. It's sloppy when it comes to competitive play.

Oh, and the Silent Heroes mod is rather tip-top, too.

Gunna have to go with Warhawk. I don't play too many War type games, but it can't be too far off from what makes a good war game. It's chaotic as hell, and the vehicles are great and fun to use. There are countless "OH SHIIIIT!" moments in Warhawk.
