Grass is actually ideal for outdoor martial arts activities because it is extra cushiony.
But beware of the other cushiony things that lurk in the grass...
Still, it usually doesn't matter what you fall on if you go from 15 m/s to less than zero (he bounced a bit) in less than half a second.

Hmm, there are people falling out of the 3rd floor with no broken bones and there are people falling from a chair and brake an arm. Sometimes its about luck/bad luck.
But this fall looks like broken ribs, hip, arm, shoulder (all, one, none, who knows).
And... hitting dirt? As in: Hitting dirty concrete?
Concrete is just a fancy word for hardened dirt.
