What does piss me off is that all of the Jesus's today (ALL OF THEM) are shown with a cloth over his privates even though he was crucified in the nude. It's sad and funny at the same time.

Wasn't it Jesus who said the truth will set you free? Yet people who worship him daily look at a lie because the reality is too offensive. Pathetic.

what i think is funny is how many people walk around with crosses around there neck yet act like complete jerk offs all the time. Also how elaborate some of the crosses are like the rap guys who walk around with 30,000 dollar crosses on there neck but completly miss the point all together.

Just because it's a cross doesnt make it a crucifix.

Hell, I wear a cross and have one tattooed on my arm, and I don't associate them with christianity at all.

Hahahaha, nice. But seriously, Jesus wasn't black, he was Hebrew. I don't know whether any of you actually believe he was black, but I know some people do. It's not like it's important what color he was, but people take it further and say he was crucified BECAUSE he was black. That's the stupid part. You can pretend he was black all you want, but when you go and say he was killed because he was African, that's just retarded.

The Bible records his skin color as somewhat dark (not black), and historians living in his day recorded that he had curly, chestnut coloured hair.

Hardly the Jesus we see in art today.

What ever jesus was, he wasn't white, to be white you have to be from european descendency, he has not, and chances are he was fairly dark, considering his birth place is barely north off of the place where asia and africa meet.

i didnt know jesus was a social distortion fan, I have this song as my cell ring tone, its one of the best songs ever.

I always understood that jesus probably had not black skin but more like a middle eastern darker, but certainly not white.

a cross does not symbolize christianity...jesus nailed to a cross represents christianity...the latter is called a crucifix not a cross...we do not wear a cross we wear a crucifix...so rappers can wear their "bling"...i dont see a diamond jesus on any of their crosses

by saying jesus was white, you're implying that god is white, being the son of god and all. Whatever he was, it wasn't white.

Actually, only Catholics use the Crucifix. Protestant Christians use just the plain cross as it symbolizes that Jesus has risen, the very foundation of the relegion. Catholics use the cross with Jesus still on it, it's not wrong, but Protestants use the empty cross as their relegious symbol. So both types have relegious connotations. Granted, the cross has been around awhile and can have other meanings too, including purely secular, but saying that the cross its self has no relegious connotations is flat out wrong.
