Blizzard just puts way too much pressure on players; the high-end dungeons take anywhere between 4 to 8 hours on average, depending on how often you've done it in the past (my guild got it down to 3 hours, which is still ridiculous considering you're doing the same thing over and over the entire time, with about 20% chance of getting an item at all). Well, I guess they have to make money in the end aswell.

But other than the grinding... it's a good game. Very well-balanced, good customer support, lots of content and a certain degree of customization. Fun if you play the game the way it's supposed to be played (having fun with your friends instead of staying up all night killing furbolgs to get to level 60).

Ultima Online still tops the charts as far as I'm concerned though. Too bad the Trammies took over.

Been playing it for over a year now and there is still so much I have not done in it yet, mainly fleet battles, and super power player run alliance politics. not to mention Role Play.

Just so you know though it's not for everyone, it CAN be a slow burning game but realy it IS what you make of it, if you choose to mine minerals and build stuff exclusivly then it's not very fun, but is to some people i guess just not me, i wont mine, don't need to. I have other funner ways to make money and gain assests.

The real excitment in eve is in PVP, never have a gotten such a rush from fighting other players online, tbh your mind works the same way as in a real fight in real life, your adrenaline kicks in and your state of mind changes, i think the biggest reason for that is if you do die, depending on your situation and situation can very ALOT, is if you die theres a real and personal sense of loss, especialy if you dont have a 1000 person or more super power alliance of player run corperations to supprt you.

The way you "level up" and i use the term loosely is with REAL TIME skill training, meaning you set a skill to train, and it just does it, no need to grind to gain skills, each level of a skill can take anywhere from 30 mins to months depending on the skill. the amount of skills you can have has no limit.

That doesn't mean that it's not noob friendly, a 2 month old n00b can take take down a 3 year old vet givin the right situation.

EVE is absolutely terrible. Freespacing is nigh impossible, and the whole game is based on waypoints and luck in PvP. Security levels are out of whack, and the player run economy means only the most powerful players will ever have the best equipment. You don't really ever get to be outside your ship, and the whole economy is based on gridwork.

EVE is multiplayer Microsoft Excel with pretty asteroids. Earth and Beyond kicked the shit out of it before it was shut down by EA.

True i have never played WoW, and i have no intrest in playing it, from what i have heard it is a big pve grind fest. no thank you, i'm not paying a monthy fee to get to level 60 and and get the best shit in the game after a month and then get bored with it.

WoW seems like a game for stupid little kids like you who throw the word "fag" around, another reason i have no interest in WoW, to many immature kids who get uber after 60 days of grinding. And then go around griefing noobs and calling them "fags" and whatever other 'creative' insult you can muster in your ignorant little brains.

First: "Freelancing" is NOT impossible, i have been a happy freelancer for the last 6 months in an alliance of around 500 people, in that time we have been at war twice, and not once did i have to contribute a single thing, though i did CHOOSE to just for the pvp fun.

Second: luck can have alot to do with pvp, but thats only if you lack recon and intel, if you muster a fleet of dozens or hundreds of people, and go atack a random target, yes ofcourse luck will have a big impact on the outcome of the battle, the amount of fleets configurations is infinite, that's why doing everything you can to 'know your enemy' is paramount. recon, it's not hard.

Third: How are security levels out of whack? what exacltly do you mean?

Fourth: Only the most powerfull players will ever have the most powerfull equipment?
That is so untrue theres a thing called escrow, if you want uber equipment, go buy it. and don't bitch about not being able to make enough ISK to buy those uber things, making ISK is easy. and if you can't get theese uber things, then how is that bad? if everyone could have a centus x-type large armor repairer or a zealot BPO for example, they wouldn't be uber now would they, every one would use them.

Fifth: you can't go outside your ship? who the hell cares, the game is about space and spaceships, not whacking people with a magic hammer in third person veiw inside a station or on a planet, if they implemented being able to walk around stations and plantes it would take ALOT of work and realy wouldn't be worth the effort.

Sixth: The whole eonomy is based on grind work?
please show me a mmog that doesn't require some sort of grinding.
if you want somthing, you need to work for it, pretty simple realy.
