Rewards inspire people to try harder. Besides, this isn't really a Photoshop-centrique forum. If recognition is all I'm getting out of contest I'd enter more contests at Worth1k, where I can at least show off my trophies. Besides, most of the contests I've seen around here end up spammed MSPaint entries of phalluses popping out of random places. At least piss-poor entries are filtered out at Worth1k.

I'm not saying premium should be the only reward for a contest, but I can't think of any other way to reward the winner on this site.

Actually I would say that is pretty good blending.
I just did this one a few days ago. A lot of airbrushing. The girl, background, trees are seperate photos and I used some cloud brushes. Textured it with muddy water and some grundge texture.
(Also Brevcon I would like to have that tutorial that refoops made.) Maybe he wouldn't mind if you posted it here. I like the cowhorse.

In CS2 you can go Filter>Texture>Grain and then there is a drop-down list to choose grain type. Here you would probably want 2 layers, one 'Clumped' and one 'Vertical'.
