Quake 3 vs Unreal 2004

My gaming appetite is beginning to want some fast paced, fragging multiplayer shooting. My question is this: which of these games is better overall???

If you can think of something better which is also fast paced, feel free to add your suggestion :)

Quake 3 is still my alltime favorite game. The simplicity of the game is ingenius. Pure gaming fun without any bullshit. I especially prefer the movement of quake 3 and the simplicity of the weapons. They all handle instinctively.

UT isn't bad either.

Unreal Tournament 2004 I PWN AT THAT GAME \m/. (^_^) .\m/
it is alot more customisable than quakeIII it has better graphics and some games have even been ported to the unreal engine including stuff from Dead Or Alive Half Life 2 QuakeIII and HALO

tonight I went under a hellbender(jeep) with my scorpion(car) and the guy in the hellbender couldn't move he was like why am I moving backwards lol :D

by the way that is a user created map and the textures on it suck but it's a fun map :D
