I have just recently modded my Xbox. After copying just 1 game I was down to almost no mB of storage on my E drive. Does anybody know of how to gain additional memory for copying games and movies.

did you get another harddrive? the one that's already in it is like, 10 gig. even though that doesn't seem right, because each game is only about 2 gig....

No, I still have the same one. I have 4,800 mB on the E drive. The game I copied took up all but 600mB.

Where can I buy a new harddrive? Right now I can't afford one but I plan on saving up now. Do you have a modded Xbox Trickee?

Yeah you really need to replace the hard drive. The stock HD is only 8gigs large, and drive E only has 4 or 5 gigs available on it, which is only enough space to fit one or two average sized games.
This list will help you find a compatible HD: http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/
I have a 300gb Maxtor in my xbox with the XBMC dashboard. It's the best media center you can have for such a cheap price.
EDIT: forgot to mention... if you've ever logged on to Xbox Live with your old setup, and you log onto XBox Live again with a new hard drive, MS will detect the new HD and you'll be banned from xbox live. This is the only drawback I can think of, but if you don't use xbox live then it's not a problem.

I have a 160 GB HD in mine, and I have around 45 games, so yeah you might want to get a bigger one

I dunno who can help you, since my bro modded both of ours himself. Just takes a little soldering know-how and a tutorial, available anywhere on the internet.
this might help, though....idk.

Modding an Xbox really isn't that hard. With the right tools, and a good tutorial, it's just a matter of reading the directions and putting everything together. My friend first modded his xbox, and taught me how to do it.
To transfer games from one HD to another, either FTP, like SupraTwinTurbo. That's what I usually do, and it's the easiest. Or I think you might be able to use Norton Ghost, and creates replicas of one hard drive, to another, for back up and the similar. But I'm not sure if that would work, I've never used it before to be honest.
But yea, like everyone above me said, you definitely need a larger HD to be able to save a bunch of games on it. Fry's Electronics here 300 gig's for I believe only 100 bucks, if I remember correctly.
