What the F ever happened to music with some balls? The closest thing to ROCK in today's mainstream music scene are bands like the click five, fallout boy, and simple plan. These assholes who ALL dress like they went shopping for anything brown that they could find at the Salvation Army? They've all got their long hair which appears to "LOOK" messy but in reality they have very carefully and strategically blown dry their bangs over their one eye. They are skinnier than some girls I know, and their jeans make MY nuts hurt. And of course it's always (and you can bet your life on it) topped off with a silver studded belt. I feel as though before they go out in public they kill a helpless little puppy to make themselves sad, just so they have a depressed look on their face to go with their emo punk "style".

I turn on MTV2 and it looks like the same band in every video. Is it 1974 again? You're not Jim Morrison, so take off your aviator sunglasses and come back to 2006! In the late 90's there was such a plethora of hard rock music, but it all had a melodic sound to it, with a little bit of rap thrown in there. It was different, edgy and it rocked. Bizkit paved the way for a new generation of rock, or even music. They brought back the "balls", the controversy, and the edge, that was missing from rock for a long time. They took over MTV and helped us stray away from the douche fest that was Brittany spears, and the backstreet boys who were invading the planet. (in my opinion because of harsh critics) and other issues, they pretty much fell off the face of the earth.

They were so overplayed, and hated on, for their unique styles. Because of their blending of certain genres of music, they were not only bashed by music critics, but by other rock artists who strictly played one type of music. :sleeping2 The entertainment industry needs to stop worrying about image and stay focused on the music. That's what they tend to overlook. The actual music only comes second to critics, unfortunately.

Even if your not a fan of the Bizkit, you have to agree with me on some certain level. What the hell happened to the bands with balls?!!?

Most people hate Limp Bizkit because of Fred Durst. He's an untalented prick.

As much as I dislike Limp Bizkit, the other members are talented. Wes Borland is a good guitarist and Sam Waters is a decent bassist.

If they would get rid of Durst, perhaps they could create some decent music.

What the FUCK happened to eBaumers with balls? Just say FUCK, you fuckin pussy. It's not going to be censored. FUCK. And just to prove it... FUCK.

And I do agree with your post, somewhat. Even though I have long "messy" hair, a silver studded belt, and occassionally wear tight jeans.

I'm so use to the other forum I post at that doesn't allow swearing. I sometimes cross my mind between forums.

BTW, who said I allowed Emos on my thread? ;) This is a outrage! BrainStew is a emo? It can't be?!?

Time to break out my Fred Durst Avatar again to set an example!

I'm about as emo as jacking off in a dead baby's ocular cavities. Although I am dating an emo. Is it just me, or are some emo chicks fucking hot?

No they can be fucking hot. But they would probably be hotter if they weren't so emo, if you know what i mean.

I agree with what you are saying about mtv and emos and all of that, but i completely dissagree with limp bizkit bringing back that "balls" in rock, in fact i'll even give that one a "LAWL"

I heard Buckcherry on the radio tonight. There's some rock 'n roll with balls and radioplay.

Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on

It just screams "BALLS".

90s rock had balls??? I thought it was just noise and grunge, which later paved the way to emo goodness.

If you want rock will balls, you have to go with the 80s. The ballsiest decade of music ever

Holy hell. If you want music with balls don't listen to the Radio or Watch MTV. You're not going to find it there, so stop bitching about it.

And why bring up a shitty band like Limp Bizkit when talking about music with balls? It was Nu-Metal back then, and it sucked as much back then as it does now.

hmmmm 80s? Where image was more important than music? Wearing makeup? Looking like a women? Wearing tight leather where it crushes your balls? Don't get me wrong, the music wasn't bad. However, fans/critics only accepted metal heads with long hair over people with short hair, even though the short haired bands played better music.

LOL! Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance, well they’re are no friends of mine.I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find. And we can act like we come from out of this world, leave the real one far behind, And we can dance. ;)

Stormwarrior has more balls than any other band mentioned in this thread. Also you mentioned Limp Bizkit having balls, Fred Durst and crew were castrated years before Limp Penis was around.

Yeah, definately looking forward to the new RHCP CD. And I really wanna like the new Pearl Jam, but their first single, Worldwide Suicide, is just so.....bland.....i guess is the word. Just a bad choice for their first single off the new album, I suppose.

And AC/DC had the biggest balls of all...

"I've got big balls
I've got big balls
And they're such big balls
Dirty big balls
And he's got big balls
And she's got big balls
But we've got the biggest balls of them all"

How the hell does formulaic heavy rock have 'balls'? What is courageous about churning out generic riff-fests? Real music 'with balls' is experimental shit like Can and Faust that does actually involve TAKING RISKS...

quick question...if you want music with balls...why are you looking for it in mainstream music?

Seriously.. I agree with that post

Anyways there's plenty of bands with balls you just have to find them. I would listen to some Gwar, they're fucking insane. If you just listen to the music then you're missing out, watch one of their videos, it's hilariously funny in a violent way. :)

Again refering to the quote, no mainstreem band is going to have balls. I mean, there might be lots of popular bands that may have balls, but they probably won't be televised. Limp Bizkit was televised because they basically sold out.

If you want music with balls just use pandora, search for a band that you think has balls and TADA! There's about 20 other bands that are like them. :sleeping2

EDIT:

And I really don't agree with that Limp Bizkit thing, because they suck massive nuts. I don't think they paved a way for any bands, they just set an example of how NOT to make music.

And if you mean having balls, like being over the top and totally outrageous than there's plenty of bands. But if you mean having balls in taking chances in how they make music, there are tons. You will NEVER run out of bands who have a different style than any other band. Music is such a diverse thing, so just don't focus on bands who you think have balls. There's tons of other good music out there that you may not think have balls, but you just have to look.

Wow I used the word balls a lot heh.. :uhoh:

No, both bands were shit. Just because one band can turn the distortion pedal one notch more does not make them better.

Fucking hell people. Stop listening to garbage and trying to convince yourself that it sounds good.

Everything you just said is exactly what I've been thinkin of todays music. But you know what, it's just another form of music that's gonna go down soon, just like nu metal. Everyone will stop listening to it and an even gayer genre of music will come along. :|
