I love Batio's double handed legato sometimes. When he gets it really good, he can lay out some insane melodies. Other times, its just shred for the sake of shred.

Batio can suck some nuts, lets add some more reverb and do more tapping there Batio, be more original.

I have mixed opinions on Batio. He's definitely a skilled guitarist, but I find that he suffers from shredding tendencies at times. However, he has proven through Symphony X, that he can be a good songwriter.

Yeah, I know that - that's my point. He can be a bit shredderish, but he's shown his songwriting capabilities as the guitarist of Symphony X.

Haha, I just understood what you mean. I always thought Michael Angelo Batio was the guitarist of Symphony X. I looked it up on metalarchives, and I see that Michael Romeo is their guitarist. I've been mistaken all along.

Sorry, my bad :dunce:.

I like the Odyssey album. But I'm starting to find that I'm more interested in prog rock than prog metal. But I will eventually go back to listening to more prog metal.
