I do indeed love Rush. All three members are just so great at what they do, and they come together to make such great music. My favorites of their songs include: 2112, Closer To The Heart, The Trees, and, of course, Tom Sawyer.

Rush are the absolute dogs nadgers. They're one of the few bands that I've travelled abroad (to Canada and the USA) to see live - they didn't come to the UK for something like 13 years until the R30 tour in 2004, and I collect Rush memorabilia.
My favourite albums are Moving Pictures, Hemispheres, A Farewell to Kings, 2112, Permanent Waves & Power Windows.
Favourite tunes are: By Tor & the Snowdog, YYZ, Leave That Thing Alone, Alien Shore, Cygnus X-1, Manhattan Project & Natural Science.

Rush falls as #4 in my top 10 favorite bands. My favorite album and song by them is 2112. I also like Moving Pictures, YYZ is an awesome song.
I saw them live on their 30th anniversary tour, best concert I've ever been to.

Alright man, contribute something to a thread or don't f'ing post okay? Newbs like you piss me off.. you got nothing to say, don't bother posting.
ANYWAY...
The first time I listened to Rush I didn't get into them a whole lot cause I wasn't in to the vocals at first.. but more recently I appreciate the vocals a lot more a long with the great music they play. I'm actually slightly surprised that (at least in my area) not many people have heard of them 'cause they got some great stuff out there.

I recognize their amazing musicianship, but I never really liked any of their material that much.
Anyone wanna recommend me some songs "you cant help but love"?

Download the song 2112. It's 20 minute-long song. The overture of the song is insane.

Yeah, I wasn't to into the vocals when I started listening to them, but the more I listened to them, the more I realize how good they are. I think Geddy Lee is a great singer.

Geddy Lee's vocals can be annoying, but they have their moments of greatness as well. Overall, I like them - he's a unique singer.

I've never found the vocals to be annoying, but it did take me a while to realize that he wasn't a girl. :uhoh: Admit it... I know I'm not the only one that thought that.

I just got into them coz i needed to improve my bass playing skills and Geddy Lee does the fucking job! Ive only got one album at the moment which is Permanent Waves, I really like the song Spirit of the Radio.
I find them alot like primus but without the quirkyness. The progressive song structures are similar, obviously Les Claypool is influence by Geddy.
